Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (Home of Gorillas)
Your driver / tour guide will meet you at the hotel (08:00) in Kampala or Entebbe after breakfast, briefing about tour and then set off for the adventurous journey to Bwindi Impenetrable national park. You will have a stopover at the Equator for photographs and break tea, then Lunch in Mbarara town, continue with our journey via green hills, and flatlands and settle in Kabale which is also known as the “Switzerland of Africa”! Later continue and have dinner and overnight at Ruhijha Gorilla Lodge / Gorilla Mist Lodge.
Day 2: First Gorilla Tracking Tour (Oruzo Gorilla group)
Have breakfast at the lodge and proceed to the park headquarters for briefing from the Park rangers about mountain gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Trekking gorillas goes through thick vegetation and the ease of finding the Gorillas shall depend on the movement of the animals with in their natural habitat. A maximum of one hour will be allowed with the Gorillas for photographing and observation. Later descend to your Lodge for late Lunch. In the evening, if interested, you may go for cultural walk to nearby communities, where you will be entertained by the Batwa people (pygmies), and learn more about their Unique history and culture. Dinner and overnight at Ruhijha Gorilla Lodge / Gorilla Mist Lodge.
Day 3: Second Gorilla Trekking Adventure in Bwindi Forest (Bitukura Group)
This is another day for second gorilla tracking adventure! You can choose to visit the same gorilla family twice or a different group of gorillas. Return to the lodge and embark on a scenic drive to another part of bwindi National park, overnight at Gorilla Safari Lodge / Wagtail Eco Safari camp.
Return to the lodge and relax in the evening as you wait for dinner and overnight. Alternatively, we can take a forest walk to enjoy more of the African wilderness.
Day 4: Third Gorilla Tracking Adventure
This can be done with a nother gorilla family like Kahungye, Nshongi, Businjye, Kahungye or Nkuringo. Alternatively, we can cross to Rwanda, Volcanoes National park for the thrid gorilla trek. The choice is yours. Dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Transfer back to Kampala
A relaxed morning followed by scenic drive back to Kampala. Enroute lunch in Mbarara town, arrive in Kampala by late afternoon. Settle in your hotel in Kampala or transfer to the airport for your scheduled departure flight.
