Day 1. Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (3-4hrs).
Pick up from any hotel in Kigali after breakfast or from the airport on arrival, proceed for a city tour to Gisozi genocide memorial museum, lunch and transfer north-wards to Volcanoes national park, also named as parc National des Volcans, visit the beautiful twin lakes of Burera and Ruhondo, then proceed Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in Uganda through Chanika Boarder. The journey is amazing as you are able to see the magnificent hills, well terraced and having a breath taking view of deep valleys, winding roads and the five peaks of the Virunga Mountains. On your way to Bwindi, you go though the scenic Kigezi region (Switzerland of Africa) to Wagatail Eco camp or Gift of nature lodge or Gorilla safari lodge.
Day 2: Bwindi Gorilla Tracking and Departure.
This is your day for mountain gorilla tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Uganda. Breakfast followed by an assembly at the park headquarters for briefing (with packed water), before penetrating the impenetrable Bwindi National Park with the ranger guides for the memorable adventure. Gorilla Tracking goes through steep slopes and thick forest trails, and may take 2-8 hours depending on the movement of these Gentle Giants in their natural habitat. Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi is quite strenuous, but worth undertaking. A maximum of 60 minutes will be allowed with the Gorillas in the wild for observation and photographing. Later descend to the park headquarters / lodge for late lunch and then embark on the journey back to Kigali where the tour ends.
